We are recruiting a team of business relationship developers to build a network of professional contacts in China to allow us to expand into the Chinese market.
Building business in China can be difficult without excellent Mandarin language skills, a good understanding of Chinese business cultural values and the tenacity and drive to succeed.
We work on behalf of a largely UK based company with clients spanning many different sectors from luxury fashion brands to property companies, theatre productions and wedding venues. You will need to be creative, personable, adaptable and have good organisational skills.
To be successful in this role, candidates will be proactive in building a network of providers and suppliers in China, so that we can best meet the high standards and varied needs of our clients. Much of this work will be done online from Malaysia; having the ability to build and develop instrumental working relationships with suppliers, remotely, is important.
Successful candidates will be native Mandarin speakers with a proficient level of English. You will enjoy building new relationships, have excellent communication skills and be digitally savvy.
The job will require 25 hours of your time per week, but you will have some flexibility in deciding your working hours.

China is a new business area for us, building business in China can be difficult without a good understanding of Chinese business, cultural values and requires the tenacity and drive to succeed. We are looking for candidates who have a strong appreciation of what is required to conduct marketing activities in China and an understanding of the internet landscape behind the Chinese firewall.
You will be leading our social media strategy in China, collaborating with the wider team to generate content relevant to our varied cliental and the events that we are planning on their behalf. Content will range from blogposts, to photos, videos, articles and infographics, operating on both Western and Chinese platforms. Familiarity with web design and publishing is desirable.
You will be creative, driven and proactive in order to persuasively communicate with a Chinese audience in Mandarin. You will stay up to date with social digital best practices and emerging trends and communicate these amongst the wider team. You will have a good understanding of KPIs and be responsible for monitoring and measuring content performance.
To be success in this role, candidates will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to build excellent online relationships with a range of stakeholders from UK clients to Chinese supplier and providers.
Successful candidates will be native Mandarin speakers with a proficient level of English.
